Hengtong Attending Sea Asia 2019
From April 9 to 11, the biennial Sea Asia exhibition takes place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The Global information and energy network service provider, Hengtong, is showcasing products and solutions for submarine and offshore requirements. These include solutions for offshore wind power, high-voltage cables, submarine observation networks, offshore oil and gas communications, transoceanic optical communication cables, ocean engineering, and EPC turnkey services.
Offshore wind power solutions fuels the global wind power generation industry
Wind power generation is one of the most mature and commercially viable power generation methods in the field of renewable energy. China is rich in offshore wind energy resources, which could total as much as 500 million kilowatts. Global wind power is estimated at 2.74×10^9MW, and the available portion of this is an estimated 2×10^7MW. It is obvious that wind power generation will be an important part of global energy and electricity infrastructure in future.
Hengtong is focused on technology research and development, as well as system integration in the field of offshore wind power, and has developed businesses including ultra-high voltage power cable, submarine cable, optical fiber composite submarine cable, and submarine optical cable.
At this exhibition, Hengtong displayed a complete set of offshore wind power solutions, including submarine cable supply and laying, and wind farm operation and maintenance. Hengtong offers reliable and cost-effective design, production and engineering implementation of EPC services.
Transoceanic communication links the world
In transoceanic communication, Hengtong’s submarine optical cables perform well in terms of stability, anti-interference, security, low latency, large capacity, and long service life. Hengtong’s transoceanic communication solution offers a one-stop service for ocean transmission systems design, exploration, construction and installation.
In 2017, a number of internationally renowned experts conducted a one-month submarine cable ocean test in the Kuroshio Sea. The test was carried out at depths of 5000m, 4000m and 500m underwater. Hengtong’s submarine optical cables passed laying and recovery test that was carried out. The test results, recovery process and underwater inspection indicated that all aspects of Hengtong’s cable fully meet the requirements of construction, and that the company’s products can be used both in shallow sea and harsh deep sea marine environments.
With its strength in technology research and system integration in the field of marine power and communication transmission, Hengtong owns a large number of technology and invention patents in submarine cable manufacturing. In the future, Hengtong will continue to develop its business in offshore oil and gas, new offshore energy, trans-ocean communication, submarine observation and other areas, and will further dedicate its resources to building a holistic service system for global clients.
